Five VMS Targets Highlight Arsenault’s Potential
Arsenault is a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) prospect first identified in 1947 with excellent data from past work. A recent airborne VTEM™ geophysical survey outlined five VMS targets, including the historic Arsenault VMS1 zone with rock assays as high as 1.74% copper, 0.98 g/t and silver 24.1 g/t, along with copper in soil as high as 0.54%. Nickel has also been identified.
New Targets Identified
The VTEM™ survey also identified four previously unknown target areas (VMS-2, 3, 4 and 5) that were subsequently included in a field program of sampling and mapping. Figure 1 below illustrates the distribution of target areas of low resistivity and copper anomalous areas and Figure 2, rock and soil analyses. Mineralization includes bornite, chalcopyrite and pyrite. Significant gold values accompany the copper.
Next Phase to Include Drilling
The property lies within the traditional territory of the Teslin-Tlingit First Nation and the Company, in consultation with the First Nation, is proposing a program of exploration that will include drilling. Casa has applied for appropriate permits
